Coya is an indie video game company based in Warsaw, Poland. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our games and some services available through Steam platform.
Services
All transactions, including the purchase of DLCs, are handled through Steam's payment system.
User Accounts
All access to Coya's games are managed through Steam. Users must have a valid Steam account and be at least 13 years old to use our services.
Purchases and Payments
All purchases, including paid DLCs, are processed through Steam. By making a purchase, you agree to Steam’s payment terms and policies.
Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds for Games and DLCs are governed by Steam’s refund policy. Coya does not offer any additional or separate refund policies.
User Conduct
When using Coya’s services, users must adhere to the following rules:
Cheating: While cheating, hacking, or exploiting game mechanics is strictly prohibited in any multiplayer environments, users are allowed to explore and discover mechanics and exploits in singleplayer modes.
Harassment: No harassment, abusive language, or other forms of misconduct are allowed.
Modding: Modding is allowed in both singleplayer and multiplayer, provided the multiplayer server permits it (e.g., through an in-game modpack).
Data Collection
During the early development stages of certain games, Coya may collect optional data to help improve the gaming experience. This data may include, but is not limited to:
Heatmaps: Tracking player locations within the game to identify popular areas, paths, and areas of difficulty.
Gameplay Metrics: Information such as time spent in different areas, completion rates, and in-game choices.
Performance Data: Information about game performance on different hardware setups, including frame rates and crash reports.
All collected data is anonymized and used solely for the purpose of improving game design and performance. Users will have the option to opt-in or opt-out of data collection within the game settings.
Intellectual Property
All content within Coya’s games, including graphics, code, and original music, is owned by Coya and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Updates and Modifications
Coya may update or modify its games and services regularly. We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service accordingly. Users will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of our services after such updates will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
Liability and Disclaimers
Coya provides its services "as is" without any warranties or guarantees. Coya is not responsible for any damages, losses, or other liabilities that may result from your use of our games or services.
